Italian food is loved by people for its subtle flavours. It is certainly more than your regular pizzas and pasta, as the cuisine encompasses a variety of dishes that are absolutely a must-try. And, a decades-old eatery in Rome, Il Vero Alfredo is pretty famous amongst the locals and tourists, alike. And now, it’s all set to open its international outpost in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah!

Il Vero Alfredo To Debut In Jeddah

One of the many prized possessions of Rome, Il Vero Alfredo is soon opening its doors in Jeddah. It’s expected to come up in Ash Shati District and will be serving the world-famous Fettuccine Alfredo dish. It’s worth noting that the decades-old restaurant first opened its doors and the year 1950s and since then it has been leaving people stunt with its mouth-watering array of dishes. A true family legacy, this restaurant was born after the birth of Armando Alfredo (II).

After the birth of his son, Alfredo (I) worked tirelessly to ensure his wife continued to eat healthy and regained her strength. He even created a noodle dish with butter and fresh parmesan for her. After she thoroughly enjoyed the dish’s flavour, she suggested that this be added to the menu of their small restaurant, Piazza Rosa/Galeria Colonna. This was back in 1908 and is supposedly how the globally famous Fettuccini Alfredo was created.

A Legacy That Gave Rise To World-Renowned Dish

Cementing their legacy, the father and son duo finally opened the restaurant Il Vero Alfredo that we know of today. Today, this restaurant is managed by Alfredo (III), Armando’s son and his sister Ines Di Lelio. So, when the restaurant does open, you can certainly expect toothsome dishes that are loved by the visitors of the eatery. You have got to try their Original Marstosissme Fettuccine when you do dine here once the restaurant opens.

In fact, they also serve a bunch of other dishes, such as Veal Fillet that is served with marinated lettuce, tartar sauce and hazelnuts and a seafood platter which includes octopus, squid, and sea bass roasted with prawns and fried kaitaifi and moscardini, this is served Lucianna style. Serving a variety of dishes, it’s worth mentioning that the opening dates have not yet been revealed by the restaurant. But it is expected to open soon this year.

So, once the restaurant opens, you will love its interiors which are chic and boast deep wooden accents with chequered floors. The walls are adorned by photographs that showcase the legacy of the restaurant and freshly ironed linen covers the tables to ensure the ambience is just right for the people.
