First Female Southern White Rhino

One of the highlights is Wuhaida, the first female southern white rhino born in Sharjah Safari in August last year. Wuhaida was born as a direct consequence of the Safari’s breeding programme, which prioritises local African animals and is funded by the United Nations.

The First Female African Giraffe

In addition, Sharjah Safari is home to Bridi, the first female African giraffe born in captivity. In May 2017, Bridi’s parents moved from South Africa to Sharjah.
