His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai led the meeting on Thursday, focusing on fortifying the city’s preparedness for future natural crises.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sheikh Hamdan highlighted their proactive stance, stating, how they are monitoring updates and highlighting that the safety of all citizens, residents, and visitors is their priority. This declaration underscores the unwavering commitment of Dubai’s leadership towards safeguarding its populace in the face of adversity.

UAE’s Infrastructure Study By Sheikh Hamdan

Thursday also saw the announcement of a comprehensive study into the infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following the unprecedented storm that swept the nation. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE president, swiftly directed concerned authorities to expedite efforts in mitigating the widespread damage inflicted by the catastrophic weather.

Impact On Dubai

Dubai bore the brunt of the storm, with numerous roads submerged, flights grounded, and some Dubai Metro stations rendered inoperative. The education sector faced significant disruptions, necessitating the implementation of distance learning until the week’s end, while both public and private sector employees were encouraged to work remotely.
