Recently, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MakeMyTrip to boost its travel industry.

Just recently, the tourism board signed an MoU with MakeMyTrip. It is the Singapore Tourism Board’s first-ever MOU with this travel platform. One of the key reasons behind this strategic partnership is to boost and enhance the travel experiences of Singapore and establish it as a spectacular destination for Indian travel enthusiasts to explore.

STB and the online travel company will start working on campaigns as a part of the MoU. All the necessary steps will be taken to promote Singapore and grow inbound travel this year. One of the benefits of this partnership for the tourism board will be MakeMyTrip’s data and insights about the market. Specific details can help in targeting their goal consumers better. According to a Press Release, India is one of Singapore tourism’s top 5 markets. More than 1 million Indian travellers visited Singapore back in 2023. Also, 17 Indian cities operate direct flights to this overseas destination.

Tourism Board Wishes To Cater To Indians With Enhanced Offerings

Ms. Melissa Ow, the Singapore Tourism Board Chief Executive, shared how signing this MoU with MakeMyTrip marks their first-ever MOU with an online travel platform in India. Their primary goal is to increase Indian travellers’ desire to visit Singapore and also provide improved offerings for different segments of Indian customers.

Mr. Rajesh Magow, MakeMyTrip’s Co-Founder and Group CEO, shared that Singapore was the fifth most searched international destination on the online travel platform in 2022. It jumped to the top 3 last year. Singapore is grabbing the attention of Indian travellers with seamless travel access and amazing offerings.
