Shyamlata Sihare ji was born into a wealthy Marwari family. However, she and her sisters were taught how to do all household chores from a very early age, including pickle making. She loved to feed people and built a business around it, too. She passed away in 2014 at the age of 85, and since then, Vasundhara Jhunjhunwala, her daughter, has been looking after and expanding Old Fashioned Gourmet.
