Try This Amazing Recipe At Home

Ingredients:

  • Besa Batter (besan, salt and red chilli powder)
  • Potato Masala (a filling similar to what you’d use for a traditional vada)
  • Red Chutney (peanuts, sesame seeds, garlic, boondi, red chilli powder, and salt)
  • Green Chutney (mint and coriander)
  • Cheese (shredded or sliced)

Method:

  1. Start by making your besan batter. Combine gram flour with salt and red chilli powder until you achieve a smooth, medium-thick consistency. 
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium flame. Once hot, pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan, spreading it out evenly into a circular shape, similar to a dosa or pancake. 
  3. On one quarter of the besan wrap, spread a generous layer of potato masala. 
  4. Next to the potato masala, slather on a layer of red chutney. 
  5. On the next quarter, spread the green chutney.
  6. Finally, sprinkle cheese over the last quarter. The choice of cheese can vary from mozzarella for that gooey melt to a sharper cheddar for added flavour.
  7. Carefully cut through the radius of the wrap, creating four equal sections, and fold the wrap so that each topping overlaps the other.
  8. Cook the folded wrap for an additional minute on each side until the cheese melts and the wrap is golden and crispy.
