SOCIAL’s Satrangi Mela 2026 Puts Trans Voices At The Centre Of Pride Celebrations

SOCIAL, one of the best neighbourhood café-bars, is celebrating Pride 2026 with the return of Satrangi Mela across India. The SOCIAL is back with its yearly queer-forward cultural platform that connects the LGBTQIA+ community and supporters. Want to know more about it? Read on!

SOCIAL Returns With Satrangi Mela

The event bridges the gap between the community and the supporters through performances, drag showcases, workshops, artist markets, music, and community-led experiences. This year’s edition puts a greater spotlight on trans voices, creators, performers, entrepreneurs and community leaders, while maintaining its broader celebration of queer joy, visibility and support.

Launched in 2021, Satrangi Mela has evolved from a Pride Month initiative into one of SOCIAL’s major cultural platforms. The event provides a space for queer artists, drag performers, musicians, entrepreneurs, workshop facilitators and community collectives to display their work and connect with audiences.

While the festival attracts its biggest audience during Pride season, SOCIAL says its dedication extends throughout the year. Under the “Powered by Satrangi Mela” banner, the brand continues to host queer-led events, like open mics, drag nights, workshops, artist markets, social mixers and music performances all over its outlets.

Returning for the second annual year, the best part this time is that M·A·C Cosmetics will also host interactive makeup masterclasses celebrating innovation, individuality and self-expression.

What All Can Guests Expect From The Event?

This year’s edition seeks to strengthen transgender voices by emphasising their contributions to art, culture, performance and entrepreneurship. The project also seeks to create greater visibility for a community that continues to face barriers in employment, healthcare, safety and social acceptance.

By bringing together entertainment, community engagement and inclusive programming, Satrangi Mela 2026 continues SOCIAL’s effort to create friendly spaces where members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies can gather, celebrate and express themselves beyond Pride Month.
