Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both have brilliant sites to offer to visitors. And it typically takes 8 hours and 24 minutes to travel by car. However, the flight between the two cities is generally about 1 hour and 20 minutes. And soon you will be able to travel by high-speed train if you wish to arrive faster while taking in the beauty of the natural landscape.

There are plans to introduce a high-speed train that will travel between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It is expected that the high-speed railway project might be implemented in 2026 after which, it may take four years to get completed. In a report by Siasat.com, it was revealed that the train service will be between Al Shadadiya and Riyadh and once approved, it will be able to carry 3,300 people daily.

The Design Is Yet To Be Introduced

While the initial design for the project will be launched soon, right now necessary procedures are being completed and international companies are being invited to contribute. As such, the aim is to transport 3,300 people on a daily basis through six round trips. So, 500 km will be covered in just 1 hour and 40 minutes by this high-speed train. Regarding pricing, the fare is expected to be competitively priced. As such, the train trips between the two countries are bound to offer a more cost-effective alternative to car travel or even plane.

Why Travel Between The Two Cities?

It’s worth mentioning that there are many sites to see in both countries. Riyadh is the capital city with towering skyscrapers and many exciting places for people to see. While in Al Shadidiya is located 25 km from the city centre. An industrial zone, it’s bound to increase the economic ties between the two countries.

With the aim of improving sustainable railway connections and promoting economic integration, the new chain once introduced is bound to facilitate trade between the two nations.
