The Well Is Catering To The Needs Since 5 Decades
Ever since South Central Railways inherited the well, for the last five decades it has been catering to all the water requirements of the training institute. The restored heritage well, according to SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain, will sufficiently meet all of ZRTI’s home water needs as well as those of the nearby supervisors’ training centre and territorial camp office.
According to officials, nylon mesh has been used to cover the well, helping to keep the water pure by avoiding the fall of debris like leaves. Moreover, manual chlorination is carried out to guarantee the delivery of clean water. After the Salarjung well in Moula Ali in 2016, this is the second well that SCR has restored.
