SpiceJet Flyers Can Now Get COVID Tests Done At Home; Here’s How

SpiceJet is known for its affordable flights and now the company has taken things up a notch or rather ‘spiced up’ their services. Here’s how they did it. All the SpiceJet flyers across India and the UAE can now get their COVID tests at home and get the results within 24 to 60 hours. While this Indian carrier takes necessary steps to spice up its safety, read on below to know how you can get yourself tested for COVID-19 from the comfort of your home.

SpiceJet Spices Up Safety With COVID Tests Done At Home

SpiceJet will now offer their passengers from India and the UAE, COVID-19 tests at home. This initiative is undertaken with VFS Global. All that a SpiceJet passenger has to do is visit the airlines’ official website and visit the ‘Add-ons’ section. Then,  click on ‘Book Now’ to initiate the booking for an RT-PCR COVID-19 test. Passengers must submit their personal details and identity proof.  They can even choose to get tested at their homes or at the nearest laboratory, at an appointment slot of their choice.

Here’s How SpiceJet Passengers Can Book COVID Tests At Home

  • To book the test, visit SpiceJet’s website and avail the service under the ‘Add-ons’ section.
  • Click the ‘Book now’ button to initiate the booking process and follow a few simple steps to book an appointment.
  •  Customers can choose to get the tests done at their homes or visit the nearby lab, as per their convenience and schedule.
  • At the end of the booking, customers must provide their personal details including the identity proof to confirm the appointment.

SpiceJet Passengers Can Avail These Tests In Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore And Other Cities

Issuing a press release, SpiceJet said, “As the COVID-19 negative test report has become mandatory for passengers, especially for international travel, there are rising apprehensions among travellers regarding the entire process of complying with various pre-travel requirements…Passengers travelling from the UAE may submit their test samples at the partnered certified laboratory in Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Sharjah or at a location of choice within the UAE. The test prices will start as low as AED 160 (approximately ₹3,215) for both children and adults.”

Kindly note that in India, these services are available in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Jalandhar and Chandigarh. Speaking to the media, Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer said, “We have been constantly working towards making the travel experience more comfortable for our passengers. SpiceJet’s online booking of the COVID-19 test is a step in that direction and we believe that this will give our passengers the confidence and peace of mind while adjusting to the new norms of travelling.
