Emirates Passengers Switches To Normal Way Of Serving Food & Drinks

After the pandemic struck, Emirates switched to pre-packaged meals and limited beverage service, in order to reduce contact and follow strict hygiene protocols. However, this was not the case during the pre-covid days. Earlier, passengers were given multi-course menus with hot and cold meals, as well as complimentary beverages on flights. Emirates has now decided to go back to its good old routine. The airline will now return to its signature service while observing strict hygiene protocols.

However, protective measures like compulsory face masks for passengers, personal protective equipment for staff and digital menus in place of paper ones will continue to remain in place.

In addition, premium customers will also have access to a new takeaway bar on Emirates A380 and select Boeing 777 flights. The lounge has reduced seating capacity to follow social distancing protocols, but passengers can take away their food and drinks back to their seats. Staff manning the bar area will wear personal protective equipment and passengers must keep their face masks on at all times on flights, including when going to and from the bar or shower areas.
