If you’re planning to travel to Bangkok soon, then there is some good news for you! SpiceJet has announced that it will upgrade its daily Delhi-Bangkok flight to an Airbus A340. This wide-body aeroplane will double the seating capacity on this route. This will make travel much smoother and easier for travellers as the destination is attracting a lot of tourists right now due to the holiday season.
SpiceJet Chooses A340 For Its Daily Delhi-Bangkok Route
SpiceJet has decided to replace its narrow-body Boeing 737 with a wide-body Airbus A340 on its daily Delhi-Bangkok route. This will allow the airline to increase the seating capacity to 324 passengers per flight. Currently, the airline is able to carry approximately 149 passengers on this route due to the narrow aircraft; after the upgrade, they’ll be able to double their passenger capacity.
However, this upgrade is only for a limited period. SpiceJet will commence operations with the Airbus A340 from May 31. The service will continue till June 20. Apart from Delhi, the airline also operates daily flights to Bangkok from Kolkata.
Talking about the upgrade, Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer, SpiceJet, said, “With visa-free entry for Indians, Bangkok remains an attractive destination for travellers seeking work and leisure opportunities. The deployment of wide-body in this sector shows our commitment to providing our passengers with enhanced comfort and increased capacity during the peak holiday season. With the addition of daily flights to Phuket and our existing services to Bangkok, SpiceJet continues to expand its footprint in Thailand.”
