Starbucks has just revealed the inauguration of its first island location in Alibaug, a charming seaside town. Where? Well, the ferry terminal! Yes, here we have another reason to hop on that ferry!
Starbucks Opens 1st Island Store In Alibaug
The new Starbucks store is strategically positioned at the M2M Ferry Terminal in Alibaug. The new tailored store layout aims to expose Starbucks’ premium Arabica coffees to local customers and tourists. It aims to satisfy the demand from tourists from around the world visiting the city who want to enjoy their favorite Starbucks beverage while they are away from home.
It will provide Starbucks coffees that are sourced and prepared from all over the world. A variety of Signature Milkshakes, South Indian Filter Coffee, Masala Chai, and Elaichi Chai, as well as food options like Tandoori Chicken Panini Sandwiches, Spiced Cottage Cheese Focaccia Sandwiches, Herbed Chicken Focaccia Sandwiches, and more, will also be available on the menu.
Alibaug has become one of the most popular holiday spots, and this has increased consumer demand for upscale food and beverage experiences. All these factors opened the door for Starbucks to launch its first store in Alibaug.

Unique ‘Third Place’ Experience
The first Starbucks Island location intends to give Indian consumers a unique ‘Third Place’ experience while being surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Arabian Sea. This store’s cozy and welcoming atmosphere, which spans 2,500 square feet and captures the laid-back vibe of Alibaug, is an homage to its location.
It has been created with engaging artworks that showcase the rich tapestry of marine mythology. Also, at the same time it pays homage to Starbucks nautical roots. The walls are decorated with striking images of Moby Dick, the fabled white whale, representing the pursuit of perfection.
Starbucks International and Channel Development Shares Group President Michael Conway said that he is happy to see that Indian consumers have chosen Starbucks as their go-to place for in-person interactions with our green apron partners or with family and friends.
