The mighty Statue Of Unity just made its way to Time Magazine’s list of 100 greatest places in the world. The list consists of noteworthy destinations around the globe. Mumbai’s Soho House found itself in the list as the place is Asia’s first Soho house.

The Statue Of Unity is the tallest structure in the world, with a height of 182 meters. The statue overlooks the Narmada River in the state of Gujarat. It honors the work carried out by Indian statesman Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who played a major role in getting India independence. He was the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister. The Statue Of Unity is a symbol to remember his contributions and the remarkable work he did.

The statue also remained a hot topic in the news for quite some time due to the fact that the structure cost ₹2,989 crore. It was funded by the government of Gujarat and inaugurated by current Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He also tweeted about the same.
