What Is It?

Mapro Farms in Mahabaleshwar is throwing a  huge strawberry festival to promote the cultivation of the fruit and tourism. Guess what? Most of all, it offers fresh raw strawberries that you can eat completely FREE. Many villagers participate in this festival by opening their heart and farms to the tourists.

Expect different cultural activities which comes along with loads of entertainment. The idea is to spread the sweetness all over the country.

What To Eat?

 Strawberry lovers get ready to indulge in strawberry pizza, strawberry bhel, chocolate dipped strawberries and strawberry sandwich. Being a seasonal fruit you should definitely try fruit salads, ice-creams, crushes, juices and milkshakes on their regular menus. Strawberry jams, jellies, squashes, from MAPRO, Mala, Manama, Pure Berries are best of all.

Strawberries & Mahabaleshwar

Strawberries and Mahabaleshwar have come a long way. While, Mapro Garden is located between Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar; Brand Mala, the first brand to introduce the word, ‘Jam’ in India was also originated here. Infact, Mahabaleshwar strawberries contribute to almost 85 percent of the total strawberry production in the country.

The festival is getting all the support it needs from All India Strawberry Growers Association (AISGA).

Other Entertaining Activities

Don’t miss the mehendi stalls and watercolour tattoo to get beautiful designs and patterns as per your wishes.
You get to experience lezim and dhol dance performance. The performers are invited from Pratapgad and they play a small musical instrument in their hand as they swing to foot-tapping music.

Tourists can enjoy a live orchestra. They even take requests. Bollywood melodies anyone?
