Sultan AlNeyadi and his colleagues from Crew-6 made a safe splashdown on earth this morning at 8:17 AM (UAE time), in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Jacksonville in Florida. The recovery process is underway and the crew members have finally stepped out. It should be noted that the Crew-6, which included UAE’s Emirati astronaut, Sultan AlNeyadi also included other crew members, Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, who are astronauts and Andrey Fedyaev, who is a Roscosmos cosmonaut. A Brief Glimpse Into His Mission & Return Journey

It should be noted that the Crew-6 spent 186 days in space. As the dragon craft entered the atmosphere of earth, Florida’s skies lit up by a glowing streak with the entry of the craft. Once this happens, the parachutes are deployed, allowing the craft to slow its dissent and make a splash down on earth. The entire process sounds interesting, doesn’t it? It should be noted that the craft left the International Space Station on September 3, Sunday for its journey back to the Earth. This has been a momentous journey for the UAE, as Sultan AlNeyadi created history by becoming the first Arab astronaut to spend an extended period of time in space and also undertaking a spacewalk.

Sultan AlNeyadi, along with the screw members will be given all the medical attention so that they can acclimatise again to the environment of the Earth. Once this is done, he will return back to the UAE where several road shows have been planned.
