TASMAC Goes Digital! Book Liquor Online In TN, Check Stock, And Pick It Up From Chosen Store

For people in Tamil Nadu, waiting in long queues to buy a liquor bottle may soon become a thing of the past. The reason? State-run liquor retailer TASMAC has introduced an online booking system that allows customers to book their liquor before visiting the shop. Scroll down to know more! 

TASMAC Launches Online Liquor Booking 

TASMAC has launched a new portal, TasmacE2E.in, for customers across Tamil Nadu. The portal has been introduced to make liquor booking easier, so people no longer have to wait in long queues only to find out that their preferred bottle is out of stock. As per The Economic Times, customers can use the website to check if their preferred liquor is available, purchase it online, make the payment, and then simply visit the store to collect it.

To use the website, customers can search for nearby TASMAC outlets within a radius of 5 km to 25 km or look up a shop using its number or district. But wait! Not everyone can use this website. Before accessing the portal, users must confirm that they are at least 21 years old, as it is the legal drinking age in Tamil Nadu.

No Home Delivery For Liquor 

There is no home delivery available. After placing an order, the portal will generate a QR code instead of a receipt. The Economic Times reported that all you have to do is show this QR code at your selected TASMAC outlet and collect your order. Also, all bottles will be sold at their MRP.

The portal has been developed by RailTel, the team behind TASMAC’s computerised system. To make sure everything runs smoothly, district managers and sales staff have already been trained to handle online orders and stock updates.

Since the portal is new, TASMAC officials say there could be a few hiccups in the beginning. Also, the stock shown on the website may be up to 30 minutes old. So, if your chosen bottle goes out of stock before your order is confirmed, don’t worry! You can either get a refund or buy the same bottle from another TASMAC outlet.
