It was only about a week back when the Meteorological Centre Srinagar issued a heatwave warning for Jammu. Temperature is surging in Jammu and Kashmir. Presently, the heat is rising in North India’s hilly regions such as Munsiyari, Lansdowne, and more. According to a report by Jagran English, the temperature exceeded 31°C in Munsiyari in Uttarakhand.

This was the first time when the picturesque destination offering views of the Panchachuli peaks witnessed the temperature reaching too high. Not just Munsiyari but several offbeat places located between 10,000 to 15,000 feet are also facing similar issues of recording an uptick in mercury this summer season. Mostly cooler destinations with snow-capped surroundings such as Adi Kailash and Panchachuli are waking up to warmer temperatures.

Dhanolti reported the temperature surging beyond 31°C recently. Reports of heat rising unprecedentedly are alarming and a striking example of the life-threatening effects of global warming and climate change.
