Creating Magic With Colours

To make these rainbow toasts, you’ll be needing cream cheese or yoghurt, food colouring/juice/powder and decorative sprinkles. To begin with, you need to add two tablespoons of cream cheese or yoghurt to five separate bowls. To these bowls, you need to add juice, powder or food colouring to create the pastel-coloured creams. Here’s how to create the coloured creams:

Hot Pink: Add 1 teaspoon of beet juice to the yogurt/cream cheese and blend well until the paste turns pink.

Yellow: Extract the juice out of 1-inch turmeric root knob. Now slowly add the juice drop by drop to the yoghurt/cream cheese until the paste turns yellow or orange. The juice is potent, so don’t rush.

Purple: Freeze-dry blueberries and put them inside a zip bag. Now crush the blueberries over the zip bag with a rolling pin to create a powder. Sprinkle this powder on the yoghurt/cream cheese and blend well until the desired colour is achieved.

Light Blue: Add 1/4 teaspoon of spirulina powder to the yoghurt/cream cheese and blend well until the paste turns blue.

Green: Begin with three drops of chlorophyll and then you can increase the quantity to achieve the light green shade.

Pale Pink: Freeze-dry strawberries or raspberries and put them inside a zip bag. Now crush them over the zip bag with a rolling pin to create a powder. Sprinkle this powder on the yoghurt/cream cheese and blend well until the desired colour is achieved. You can also add a dash of beet juice to make the colour pop more.
