1. Maharashtra Food Stall
Let’s begin with the place known for acing state cuisines: Dilli Haat. It doesn’t end at just food, you can get Marathi merch too. Their sabudana khichdi is our top pic for healthy and yummy food from any cuisine! The vibe of the place is culturally rich and experience fulfilling. You are likely to find homesick Marathis inhaling missal pao here.

2. SodaBottleOpenerWala
An obvious choice, and a deserving one. Their presentation just engulfs the hungry with visuals. Everything seems mystical here. We wish the helpings were just a little larger or maybe it was because we couldn’t get enough. In total Bambaiya style, one of the best Maharashtrian places has amazing Shrewsbury Biscuit, Irani Chai and Eggs Kejriwal (not the same Kejriwal).

3. Maharashtra Sadan
Grand domes on the outside, homely casual on the inside. The state canteen is at the top of the best Maharashtrian places. You are guaranteed to find good and authentic Marathi food here. Their vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Marathwada and Parsi Thalis are all must haves. Make sure you go in a group if you want to try them all at once like we did!

4. Jhakkas Bombay Pav Bhaji
One of the best Maharashtrian places is all vegetarian and we wouldn’t have it any other way. They have the iconic cheese pav bhaji that we previously had to go to Maharashtra for. We didn’t think it would ever be possible, but they’ve managed to capture the essence and authenticity of the state on a plate for us. We’re just grateful.

5. Country Curries
This little takeaway stall has earned its place as one of the best Maharashtrian places in Delhi. It serves Bengali, Chettinad, Andhra, Kashmiri and Rajasthani as well. Yet, their best dish would be the Marathi Gauti Chicken. It’s too good to miss and you don’t have to because they deliver hot and fresh!

6. Mumbai – Kingdom of Dreams
After watching an astounding performance, head to the fantabulous food. They have a huge hall or rather lane called Culture Gully with stalls of cuisines from across the country. One of the best Maharashtrian places is set right here in the guise of a Bombay local train! Hop on for a first-class ride on the food train with the traditional dish, Pran Poli and Shrikhand.

7. Kolhapuri
Kolhapuri chappals have got nothing on the food at one of the best Maharashtrian places for delivery. They’re all masala and so worth it. They serve pocket friendly combo meals for homesick peeps who can’t afford to eat out all the time. Their menu is extensive and we’re more intrigued than ever because while the chappals have touched every inch of this city, the food has not gotten out of its corner.

8. Tadkebaaz
This is one of the best Maharashtrian places for breakfast. The vada pao and poha are light and appetizing. As the name suggests, they’re drawn to great tadkas in Dilli fashion. They deliver quickly and have standing tables. Their packaging is cute too.

9. Bombay Toastee
Isn’t the name so appealing. We instantly bookmarked this little place for quick bites as one of the best Maharashtrian places. They’re open 11 to 11 in line with their food style, have large portions and are what they say, ‘value for money’. Brunch here is a fun ordeal with food from different cuisines filling your day with flavour.

10. Bhaat.in
Another multi-cuisine restaurant with food good enough to be called one of the best Maharashtrian places in the city. The Sabudana tikki is amazing and keeps us coming back for more. They have something called the Get Well Soon Khichdi for speedy recoveries. If you try it, please comment and let us know if it works!
