Now, focusing on one of the major concerns people often face after eating chole and rajma, bloating, she shared tips on how to get rid of it.

According to her, when cooking heavy foods like chole and rajma, you should add ajwain. She mentioned following the old traditions that our mothers and grandmothers used to follow. As per the nutritionist, you should add just a pinch of ajwain to your dish.

Why Add Ajwain To Heavy Foods?

Shweta Shah revealed that ajwain is absolutely amazing and can help with digestion. It contains an active compound called thymol, which may help stimulate digestion and ease stomach. The nutritionist also shared a tip she follows in her kitchen. She often soaks rajma or any other heavy food overnight and then throws away the water. She then recommends boiling it properly, as it helps remove harmful toxins.

At last, she added that adding a pinch of ajwain is absolutely non-negotiable. As per the nutritionist, these tips always work, making sure that you don’t have to cut down on your favourite food.
