Flights are a quick mode of transport, but long-haul journeys can be tiring. To make these journeys more enjoyable, Air India has brought something special for its premium passengers. The airline is now offering its Business Class passengers a fine-dining experience mid-air. Scroll down for the details!

Air India To Offer Fine-Dining Mid-Air

Air India has decided to offer a fine-dining experience on long-haul flights, but only on selected routes. This new service was launched on flights between India and the United Kingdom, covering Heathrow, Gatwick and Birmingham. Don’t worry, Air India will gradually introduce this fine-dining service on more international flights that use its Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 777-300 aircraft.

What’s Included In Fine-Dining Experience?

Instead of serving all the food on one tray, Air India will serve each course separately on individual plates. This fine-dining meal mid-air includes appetisers, main courses and desserts. Passengers can enjoy each dish at their own pace, just like they would at a restaurant. The airline will also use linen-laid tables and dedicated tableware for different courses.

New Collection For Fine-Dining

Air India has also introduced new plates, glasses and cups for its Vista Verve dining service. The collection includes separate plates for each dish and food item along with a special glass and an espresso cup.

Another highlight is the Martaban-inspired cruet set. In this set, you’ll get to see the reflection of traditional Indian jars used to store food and preserve flavours. Rajesh Dogra, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Air India, said the new service is part of the airline’s larger transformation journey.
