As mentioned in a post on X by the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi, the four existing centres will stop their operations from October 22nd. However, applicants will still be able to get access to services at 12 designated centres, which are across the UAE. These 12 Indian Consular Application Centres are located in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Al Dhafra, Kalba, and Khor Fakkan
Where Are These Indian Consular Application Centres?
The four centres, which are discontinuing their operations, are in the following locations
- Musaffah, Abu Dhabi at the Capital Mall
- Al Reem, Abu Dhabi at Level 1, Wafra Square Offices
- Dubai Investment Park I at Bayan Dubai Investment Park I
- Al Majaz, Sharjah at Bell Rashid Towers, Al Majaz 1
So applicants who need to get these services will have to ensure that they do not drop by the closed centres and take note of the other ones that are open.

They Recently Introduced Sunday Passport Collection Counters
This development comes weeks after it was announced that Indian expats in the UAE will now also have access to something called Sunday passport collection counter. This is basically a counter which is open at all the remaining Indian Consular Application Centres. Basically, this additional service is open from 10 AM to 12 PM.
It has been introduced in response to the customer requirement. Applicants will not be able to submit their applications on Sundays as the centre is closed. However, with the aim of helping working people, the passport delivery counter would now cater to applicants who cannot visit the centre on weekdays due to work or any other commitments. This counter would also help those who urgently need their passport over the weekend.
