India’s Top 50 Bars For 2026 Are Out! Delhi Leads With 12 Entries, Including 7 Newcomers

If a good cocktail and a great night out are your kind of thing, here’s some news for your next bar-hopping plan! The Top 50 Bars in India shortlist for 2026 is out, and New Delhi is leading the way with 12 bars making the cut. The seventh edition of 30BestBarsIndia features 37 returning favourites and 13 new entrants competing for a spot among the country’s best. With fresh names joining the mix, India’s cocktail scene is looking more competitive than ever!

Delhi Takes The Lead With 12 Bars

New Delhi has emerged as the frontrunner on the Top 50 Bars in India list for 2026, with 12 bars on the shortlist, including seven newcomers. In fact, the Capital accounts for 54% of all new entries this year.

Mumbai and Goa follow with 10 bars each, while Bengaluru has secured seven spots. Together, these four markets account for 39 of the 50 shortlisted bars.

Goa has the strongest showing for consistency among these leading markets, with nine of its 10 bars returning from previous editions. Furthermore, Mumbai has three newcomers, while Bengaluru has two, maintaining its representation from 2025.

Interestingly, all 13 newcomers come from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Goa, highlighting how competition remains concentrated in India’s established bar destinations.

The Top 100 Long List, announced in September, featured 108 bars, including 42 first-time entrants. It also welcomed Indore, Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram for the first time. However, none of the bars from these three cities made it to the final 50. Hyderabad and Chennai, which each had five bars on the long list, also missed out.

Bars That Have Made It To The List Every Year Since 2019

While new entrants are bringing fresh competition, four bars have maintained an uninterrupted presence across all seven editions of 30BestBarsIndia: Sidecar and Pass Code Only (PCO) in New Delhi, Comorin in Gurugram, and The Bombay Canteen in Mumbai.

Staying on the list year after year is no small feat, especially in an industry where new concepts, changing tastes and fresh talent constantly keep things interesting.

Now, the final rankings and award winners will be announced in Goa on January 11, 2027. Categories include Best Bar, Best Independent Bar, Best Hotel Bar, Best Restaurant Bar, Best Cocktail Menu, Best Bartender and Best Bar Team, among others.
