The First-Ever Miss Universe UAE Contest Will Take Place In Dubai This November

After a lot of rumors, it has now been confirmed that the Miss Universe UAE contest will take place in Dubai in November. The glitzy event will take place at La Perle, Al Habtoor City on November 7. Registrations are open for all female UAE residents from the age of 18 to 28 with more than three years of UAE residency. Read on for more info.

Registrations Begin on 15 Oct & 30 Candidates Will Be Selected For The Final Show In November

“Miss Universe UAE is not just a parade of beauty or celebration of intelligence but moreover she is a paragon of a purposeful queen and a heart to serve and help through her advocacies,” says Josh Yugen, founder and chief executive of Dubai’s Yugen Events and the new president and national director of Miss Universe UAE.

Applications and casting will kick off on 15 October and 30 candidates will be selected for the final show in November. Ahead of the final event, the 30 women will also compete in other arenas such as photoshoots, runway challenges, commercial shoots, preliminary activewear, evening gown and close door panel interview. The winner representing the country at the global pageant.

The final event will run for three hours, featuring several rounds including personal statement, couture activewear, evening gown and an interview. However, swimwear round will not be a part of Miss Universe UAE. “An identity of a woman is beyond the parameters of her sculpture. And, that is why, we are changing to make a difference and do something that nobody in 70 years of Miss Universe history has done,” said Sharihan Al Mashary- the first-ever female Emirati Hotel GM in the UAE.
