There Are Now 565 Buses Plying Under Riyadh Bus Service After The Launch Of Phase 3

Travelling in Riyadh has become easier for many people ever since the Riyadh Bus Service was introduced. The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has now introduced its third phase and with this, there are 33 routes new routes. This means many more areas are now connected in this public transportation network. Here’s all about the new phase!

The Riyadh Bus Service is in Phase 3 and has now added 33 routes and over 1000 bus stops. Yes, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City announced that with the beginning of this phase, many new bus stops will be added to the network. According to a report by Arabian Business, this bus service is a part of the King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport. So, now the total number of routes has now reached 33, which are served by 565 buses and there are 1611 bus stop stations. Moreover, the routes cover a whopping 1284 km of the total network. As such, when the routes are all mapped out, they will be spread across 1,900 km.

The report also mentioned the RCRC saying that 4,35,000 trips with over 4 million passengers have already been carried out since the launch of the bus service. It is expected that this service will be completed by 2024. This means there are two more remaining faces that are yet to be launched. It is also worth mentioning here that the bus phases began back in March 2023. Moreover, the tickets for these bus services start from SAR4 and can be purchased from either the Riyadh Bus App or through the Riyadh Bus Darb Card. The latter is available at the station vending machines.
