The artist’s commitment to creating this unique snack is demonstrated by this Instagram reel that shows the painstaking preparation of these bhaang-infused papads. The elaborate process of making Bhaang Papad is captured in this Instagram film that was posted by @psyfyi.magazine. In the opening scene of the video, we can see craftspeople choosing fresh bhang leaves, grinding them finely, and combining them with urad dal (black gram) flour and a variety of traditional spices.

To get the right crispness, this dough is flattened out into thin discs, sun-dried, and then fried until crisp. In contrast to Amritsar’s conventional cuisine, the resulting crispy, flavourful papad has subtle earthy undertones from the bhang, creating a unique sensory experience.
