Getting a vaccine appointment on the Cowin application has been a real challenge. And while we may blame the government for the unavailability of slots, we live in a country where the size of the population is about 136 crores. And while the centre has promised that it will have the entire country vaccinated by December 2021, what about the students awaiting their visa? To fast track, the visa process of students planning to travel abroad, The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation released a list of COVID-19 vaccination centres in Mumbai where students can get vaccinated on priority.
Students Travelling Abroad Can Get Vaccinated In 3 Centres
Students can simply walk in the specific centres in the city on June 7, 8, and 9 between 10 am to 3 pm. Mumbai students who have already received admissions in universities abroad and wish to travel can get vaccinated at Kasturba Hospital in Chinchpokli, Cooper Hospital in Juhu, Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar East between 10 am-3 pm. All three centres have 300 doses each of the Covishield vaccine.
”The 18-44 year-old students planning to travel out of India to pursue higher education can get their shots at Rajawadi, Cooper and Kasturba on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (walk ins). All due documents should be made available,” the civic body said in a tweet.
