These Cities And Towns In India Were Renamed In The Last 5 Years

India has witnessed numerous changes over the years. Ranging from the building of new statues, and renovation of structures and monuments to even changing the names of certain historic places, India is seeing it all. In the last five years, as many as seven cities were allowed to be renamed. Cities in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and several others have been renamed accordingly. Although the Centre faced flak for renaming a few old and historic cities, the process of renaming still received a nod.
