In the ever-evolving landscape of popular culture, few female artists have left an indelible mark quite like Taylor Swift. Beyond her chart-topping hits and record-breaking albums, Swift’s impact extends far beyond the realm of music. Nevertheless, it appears like Swift has simply hinted at a brand-new, more surprising trend. There are cocktails involved this time.
Swift’s Favourite Cocktail?

Well, now, we have Swift’s favourite cocktail. Will this be Swifties’ go-to cocktail as well? The French Blonde was recently mentioned by Rye restaurant in Kansas City as the singer’s favourite dish to have when she stops by. This seemingly little information has caused quite a stir on social media, with many people trying to replicate the drink—which is made of gin, grapefruit juice, Lillet Blanc, and elderflower liqueur—on social media. Is this going to be 2024’s big drink trend? Either way, it sounds way more delicious than the beverage she had previously mentioned as her go-to: a vodka-infused Diet Coke.
The cocktail has been around for a while; it is not a one-off. Like a lot of things made by mixologists, its origins are unclear. Despite sharing a name, it doesn’t appear to be closely linked to the Parisian Blonde, a cocktail that can be found in renowned bartender Harry Craddock’s 1930 publication, “The Savoy Cocktail Book.”

If your usual espresso martini or negroni is starting to become old for you, now might be the ideal time to shake things up and embrace your inner French blonde. So until Taylor Swift is willing to share exactly how and with what she enjoys her French Blondes prepared, this is a simple recipe of the cocktail that Swift is said to enjoy:
Ingredients:
- A half-ounce of elderflower liqueur, such as St. Germain
- One ounce of dry gin
- Lillet Blanc, 2 oz.
- Fresh grapefruit juice, two ounces
- A little amount of lemon bitters
Method:
- In a cocktail shaker with ice, thoroughly shake the ingredients for at least 30 seconds.
- Pour over a strainer into a martini glass.
- You may use grapefruit peel as a garnish for an added flavour.
It takes less than a minute to whisk up Taylor Swift’s cocktail, which has a hint of citrus and sweetness. So, is this going to be your new cocktail?
