This International Jazz Day, The Piano Man Jazz Club Delhi Is Live-Streaming A Concert With Six Artists

As International Jazz Day is around the corner, we have got a piece of great news for y’all. Delhi NCR’s most loved music lounge, The Piano Man Jazz Club is coming up with a mesmerizing live concert that will be streamed on The Piano Man’s Facebook page. Every year, the club celebrates this day in the gala way. But this year, since we won’t be able to step out, the guys are bringing the celebration to our homes.

What’s Happening?

On 30th April 2020, six amazing musicians from India and abroad will take over The Piano Man’s Facebook page to leave us all spellbound with their soulful music. The show will start at 7 PM and will continue for about the next two and a half hours. The best part is, you won’t need to buy a ticket to attend the concert. The club is now streaming all performances for free to keep the music alive even in these trying times. The artists performing in the show are Bhavya Raj, Tatyana Shandrakova, Manta Sidhu,  Arjun Sagar Gupta, Vatsal Bakhda and Elena Friedrich.

The Artist Line-Up

Bhavya Raj is a Delhi-based pop singer, songwriter and producer, who has been composing songs since the age of 10. His debut single ‘Spexy Girl’ was released in August 2015. He has performed several times in Radio as well. Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury are the major influences of the young songwriter.

Hailing from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Tatyana Shandrakova is a professional piano player who has been studying piano since the age of 7. She also started learning Jazz Arts at Colorado Conservatory in Denver, the USA in 2014. Later, she continued her jazz studies at Saint Petersburg’s Mussorgsky Music College.

Manta Sidhu is another pop and jazz singer from New Delhi. She is also the founding member of the band The Manta Sidhu Ensemble, that performs the songs written by her.

Arjun Sagar Gupta is a piano player and a Fulbright music scholar. He has been a student of the Delhi School of Music and has performed with several artists from all over the world. He has been doing piano performances since the early 2000s.

Vatsal Bakhda had started his musical journey in Kolkata, learning the art of melodies from music stalwarts like Roshen Gazder and Suddhaseel Sen. He then moved to Chennai and continued his learning at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music under the tutelage of Brazilian maestros Pedro Carneiro Silva and Gabriel Geszti. No wonder, his performances have a unique Indo-western flavour.

Elena Friedrich, who has born in Rome, is a phenomenal jazz singer, adept at versatile styles of jazz.  Her upbringing had been a mix of German and Italian cultures, which is reflected in her music too.
