This Is Sunita Ahuja’s Favourite Place In Mumbai For Pani Puri

Our latest Sunday Brunch episode is one for the books. The vivacious Sunita Ahuja, actor Govinda’s wife, and his daughter Tina Ahuja invited our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani for a lavish home-cooked meal at their palatial residence. Needless to say, there was non-stop laughter, masti, family secrets revealed and unfiltered masaledaar chat. Speaking of chat (read: chaat), Sunita Ahuja chatted with us about her favourite place in Mumbai for Pani Puri.

Sunita Ahuja Is Obsessed About Pani Puri

At Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s stunning home, Kamiya Jani had an unforgettable time feasting, chatting, dancing and giggling with the latter. While devouring a delicious homecooked meal of Makki ki Roti with Sarson Ka Saag, Palak Paneer, Aloo Tikkis, Gajar Ka Halwa, Rabdi and more, Tina Ahuja spoke about her mom’s obsession with Pani Puri.

Tina said, “Humare ghar mein, har hafte, thanks to mom… She sees to it ki Pani Puri aata hi hai.” (Every week, mom sees to it that Pani Puri is served at our home.) Sunita quipped that Sundays are meant for cheating on her diet. And she loves gorging on street food like Pani Puri, Ragda Patties, Sev Puri, Bhel Puri and more. She brings them home from her favourite chaat spot in Mumbai.

She Orders From This Popular Chaat Spot In Mumbai

To which, Kamiya had to interject the mother-daughter duo and ask them, “Aapko tharak Pani Puri se hoti hai?” (You lust for Pani Puri?) To this Tina who had earlier said that she quenches her lust with Pani Puri, hilariously answers in the affirmative. Sunita said that since she “cheats” on her diet, she needs Pani Puri to quench her “lust”.

So, what’s her favourite spot for Pani Puri in Mumbai? Sunita Ahuja replies it’s Sharma Chaat Bhandar in Juhu. The celeb-approved chaat spot is a favourite not just of Govinda but also of Amitabh Bachchan. The Ragda Patties from the Sharma Chaat Bhandar are delivered to Jalsa, Amitabh Bachchan’s home as well. Sunita, enthusiastically says that she prefers to visit the spot for her fill rather than order it from the comfort of her home.
