This Restaurant In Dubai Is Inspired By Indian Super Star – Rajinikanth

If you’re a Rajinikanth fan and are in Dubai, then here’s a restaurant you will love! Rajinikanth 24 Bar 7 – the cool, new super-star themed restaurant at Bur Dubai is the latest hang out spot for all Rajini fans. Even if you didn’t grow up watching Tamil cinema, you sure know what a legendary icon Rajnikanth is. His style and acting are not new to movie buffs and obviously a restaurant had to be launched in honor of the legend. Team CT paid a visit to the restaurant and we were Rajinified- to say the least!

The Ambiance

Needless to say, the restaurant screams Rajinikanth from all corners! For starters, there’s a wall of fame decked with posters from his movies. On the other wall you can spot caricatures of the super star, adding a dose of pop to the space.

The Menu

Moving onto the food, the menu draws inspiration from Tamil Nadu street food, with some favourites from Karnataka, and Kerala making it to the list. The menu boasts designated sections – breakfast, lunch, dinner and a round the clock section. In addition, there’s also a dedicated ‘Mother’s Special’, which is the restaurant’s humble effort to bring to plate, delicacies from your mom’s kitchen. The dishes are presented just the way you would eat at home. Heaps of hot rice, with curries, pickles etc- all in one small plate.

Signature Delicacies

For breakfast, one can find the South Indian regulars. The restaurant boasts some signature delicacies including Bengaluru’s Donne biryani. The century-old dish is prepared by mixing rice with chicken marinated in a paste of coriander and mint leaves, giving the dish its greenish color. And the most important factor is the way this biryani is presented. Donne biryani is served in a dried leaf bowl, called ‘Donne’ in Kannada. That’s how the dish got its name. The biryani is available for lunch and dinner on weekdays.

Rajinikanth-Themed Dishes

And, how can there not be a section named after the Superstar! Rajinikanth fans can binge on a delectable Superstar combo for lunch- available in vegetarian (AED 33) and non-vegetarian (AED 46) versions. Moreover, there is also an ‘Egg-Nikanth’ section which features a series of meaty curry options, served with egg. The section has it all from crab to prawn, kheema and mushroom, all served with egg. The curries are served with rice, roti, or parota.

Lastly, there’s a Rajinikanth Special section served from 12 noon to 12 midnight. The section has it all from starters, to sea food, chicken, mutton and other kadai varieties.

End your meal with a Thirunelveli halwa, gulab jamun, or opt for an authentic filter coffee or a nannari drink.
