As mentioned above, the Abu Dhabi Police has partnered with the Joint Committee for Traffic Safety in Abu Dhabi and coordinated with the Integrated Transport Centre to launch a new road alert system on all the main highways in Abu Dhabi. According to a news report by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the system aims to enhance road safety by using coloured lights. Yes, ensuring drivers’ safety across the emirate, discoloured lights will prompt them about any upcoming traffic incidents or adverse weather conditions.

What Do The Colours Indicate?
These red and blue flashing lights will let the drivers know of any upcoming traffic accidents. While the yellow flashing light will let the drivers know about any adverse weather conditions, which could include fog, rain, dust, or any other incident on the road for a safer experience. As it happens, these flash alerts are operated with the help of solar energy and internal batteries as well. Moreover, these are easily visible from a distance of 200 metres, both during the day and night. This move is sure to enhance road safety across the emirate for the drivers.
