Less Than One-Third People Get Refund For Flight Cancellations Amid COVID-19 Pandemic: Survey

The airlines surely promise refunds on flight cancellations but do they ever make the refunds? A recent survey found that less than one-third of passengers whose flights got cancelled owing to the pandemic did not receive refunds. According to the online community platform Localcircles, only about 34% of people could get their refunds back on hotel bookings.
The increase in the Omicron variant-led COVID cases has prompted citizens to revisit their plans.

EaseMyTrip Promised To Return The Entire Amount To The Customers

In uncertain times like this, cancelled and delayed flights are a common occurrence. The travel agency will return the entire amount to the customers, including the deductions made by airlines at no extra cost. This is the first time that a travel agency has launched such a policy in the industry. EaseMyTrip hopes that this flexibility would boost traveller confidence by eliminating the risk of losing money in case of a booking cancellation.

The Free-Cancellation Offer Is Applicable On All Domestic Flights

While booking a domestic flight with EasMyTrip, you will have to check the policy. You can simply make the claim by uploading a doctor’s prescription or any other documents that forced cancellation. The offer will be applicable on domestic flight bookings made on EaseMyTrip’s website and mobile site. Once you book your ticket, you will get an email on the flight cancellation coverage policy. If you have a flight ticket booking with Air India, you have very little to worry about as the airline is offering several waivers. Because of travel restrictions announced by countries like the UK, UAE, Singapore, and others, the airlines have announced several waivers for those holding international tickets. Air India has extended its offer of 1 free change in date, flight number, or sector in its domestic network till June 30, 2021 for the convenience of passengers.
