This is a 437 hectare botanical garden and zoo in Bhubaneswar. Established in 1960, this was the first zoo in India to be part of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums in 2009. Nandankanan Zoological Park Gets A Battery-Operated Toy Train
Bikram Keshari Arukha, Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Minister of Odisha inaugurated a battery-operated toy train at Nandankanan Zoological Park in Odisha. According to a TOI report, the toy train has 5 coaches that comprise 72 seats and two wheelchairs for specially-abled people. The toy train will take visitors on a 1.65 km long tour across the zoo covering the deer and elephant inhabited areas. Operating 6 times a day, visitors can also visit the Kanjia Lake in Nandankanan Zoological Park. This is a beautiful freshwater lagoon that’s perfect for a serene outing. Tickets for the toy train service are priced at ₹50 per person for adults and ₹20 per person for children.

Stunning Ropeway Is Also In The Works
Apart from the eco-friendly toy train, Nandankanan Zoological Park will also get a ropeway here. The TOI report revealed that a foundation stone was laid by Arukha for the ropeway The ropeway will be built with state-of-the-art technology and will have 12 cabins.
