Incessant rains, water logging and floods have caused havoc in the city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The extreme rainfall in Jodhpur has led to schools – both private & government declaring a holiday. Not only the inconvenience of floods but families of five people also died due to the incessant rains. As August approaches if you plan to visit Rajasthan’s cities like Jodhpur, Jaipur or Ranthambore, ensure that you check the weather updates in advance.

IMD’s Rainfall Predictions For Jodhpur & Other Rajasthan Cities

In the past 24 hours, a few areas in Rajasthan received continuous rainfall – Ajmer recording the highest rainfall, Aligarh, Asind, Pratapgarh, Sapotra and Bassi. In the coming days, the IMD has also predicted light to moderate rain in many areas of Rajasthan. A few of the tourist towns too will be receiving rainfall according to the prediction. Jodhpur, Jaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer and Udaipur divisions have been named by the IMD.

Rajasthan Rains Wash Away Cars, Train Cancelled

As Jodhpur received heavy rainfall due to heavy rainfall, and water logging issues in the city. A video of cars getting washed away too, surfaced from Jodhpur after the heavy rainfall yesterday. Apart from the Jodhpur rain incidents, there were additional reports on rain incidents in Bhilwara and Tonk too. As per the news, a portion of a building in Bhilwara collapsed while a bike was swept away in Tonk.
