Twenty-four departments across northwestern France are now under a red heat alert. According to Euronews, to protect tourists and locals, the authorities have decided to close tourist landmarks in Paris early. The Eiffel Tower will close at 4 pm on July 11 and July 12, while the Louvre Museum will also shut its doors around the same time until July 13.
