Central Railway (CR) will operate a series of traffic and power blocks at Kasara from October 7 to 18, 2026, as part of work linked to the Asangaon-Kasara 3rd Line Project and the extension of the UP Yard line towards Igatpuri. The 12-day programme includes pre-non-interlocking (NI), non-interlocking and post-NI work at Kasara Yard. CSMT-Kasara Local Block Services To Be Affected From October 10 To 13
The work is part of the larger 3rd and 4th line project between Kasara and Kalyan, aimed at separating suburban and long-distance train operations. Once completed, the project is expected to improve train movement and create additional capacity. Suburban services between Asangaon and Kasara will be unavailable during the blocks on October 10, 12 and 13 from around 3.35 pm, while the October 11 block will run from 11.30 am to 6.30 pm.

Several CSMT-Kasara locals will be short-terminated at Asangaon. In the reverse direction, Kasara-CSMT services will originate from Asangaon instead. Some services will also depart late. The last local from CSMT to Kasara will leave at 12.30 pm from October 10 to 13, while the last Kasara-CSMT local will depart at 2.42 pm. The first post-block Kasara service from CSMT will leave at 6.28 pm on October 10, 12 and 13, and at 4.50 pm on October 11.
Central Railways Trains To Face Delays
The block will also affect several mail and express services. Some UP-bound trains will be regulated at Igatpuri or nearby and are expected to reach their destinations 35 to 40 minutes late. Affected services include the Gorakhpur-LTT Express, Haridwar-LTT AC Express, Howrah-CSMT Superfast Express, Amritsar-CSMT Express, Kamakhya-LTT Karmabhoomi Express and Ayodhya Cantt-LTT Tulsi Express.
The Sainagar-Shirdi-CSMT Vande Bharat will also be regulated on October 10 and 12. Several Down trains, including the LTT-Rajgir Express, CSMT-Nagpur Sevagram Express, LTT-Prayagraj Vande Bharat and CSMT-Manmad Panchavati Express, will face delays of around 20 to 25 minutes on October 10, 12 and 13.

Additional services will be affected on October 11, including the CSMT-Jabalpur Garibrath Express, Dadar-Gorakhpur Express and LTT-Sultanpur Express.
