Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Bans Entry Of Non-Hindus In 47 Temples

The Char Dham Yatra 2026 is all set to begin from next month. Just before that, the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) had passed a resolution banning the entry of non-Sanatanis (non-Hindus) inside 47 temples that come under its jurisdiction. According to a report by News18, the decision was announced on March 10, 2026, at BKTC’s camp office in Dehradun.

The meeting was chaired by BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi. According to him, the demand for a restriction like this had been longstanding. People who follow Sanatan Dharma and have faith in Baba Kedarnath and Badri Vishal would be welcome in the temples. The entry of non-Hindus has now been officially banned from the sanctum sanctorum and premises of 47 temples.
