For the love of tiramisu, you would be glad to know that the record for the world’s longest tiramisu has been broken in London. Around 100 Italian chefs came together at Chelsea Town Hall to create a massive dessert stretching nearly 440 metres, surpassing the previous record of 273.5 metres set in Milan by Milanese Galbani.
100 Italian Chefs Make World’s Longest Tiramisu In London
According to The Times of India, a group of 100 Italian chefs set a new world record in London by creating a 440-metre-long tiramisu, the longest ever made. It has also been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s longest tiramisu.
In line with Guinness guidelines, the dessert was prepared and assembled live on-site at Chelsea Town Hall in London. During the two-day attempt, the chefs used around 50,000 coffee-soaked ladyfinger biscuits and more than 3,000 eggs. While talking to the BBC, chef Carmelo Carnevale noted that the tiramisu had to be at least 8 cm high and 15 cm wide to qualify for the record.

Here’s All You Need To Know About This
The Italian chefs stuck to the classic tiramisu recipe, working in synchronised teams to layer the dessert quickly without compromising its structure. This was particularly challenging, as every segment had to meet the required height and width to qualify as a single dessert and officially claim the title of the world’s longest tiramisu.
The attempt was led by chef Mirko Ricci, who was also part of the team that set the record in 2017. That record was later broken in 2019 by another Italian team led by Galbani in Milan. The chefs in London had initially aimed to create a 300-metre dessert but exceeded expectations by reaching an impressive 440 metres.
According to reports, the massive tiramisu was presented as a goodwill gesture and celebration for the British royal family.
