Sarthak Sachdeva, a content creator with over one million followers on Instagram, recently did something no one would have expected. Taking inspiration from another content creator, he carried out a social experiment at an Indian airport. On reaching the airport, Sarthak wore a fake neck brace and a sling on his hand before walking to an Air India counter.

He wanted to know whether the staff would upgrade him to First Class because of his fracture. However, the woman at the counter called someone and told Sarthak that First Class would not be available, but they could upgrade his normal ticket to Business Class instead.

After getting the upgrade, Sarthak shared with his followers that the Air India staff was very kind. He also said the Business Class seat was spacious and that he got to enjoy unlimited food on the flight.

Netizens Call The Stunt Unfair

Sarthak Sachdeva also wrote under the video, “W @airindia for the hospitality- the kindest staff I have seen & damn the food was yummy :) This was just a fun social experiment, not meant for any wrong message or demeaning anyone!”

However, netizens were not impressed with this stunt. Many criticised the content creator and said these social experiments are not just unethical but also unfair to people with genuine injuries. One user wrote, “It’s sad you are calling this a social experiment for clout! This is why genuine empathy is lost for people who really need it.” Another added, “And suddenly Air India flights are full with injured passengers.”

At the same time, many people also praised the kindness and helpful nature of the Air India staff.
