Travel is exciting; we all love the idea of boarding a plane and heading somewhere new. But anyone who travels often knows that it’s not all glamorous. Frequent travellers especially feel the weight of the hassle that comes with it. That’s why a Redditor’s post on travel hacks caught everyone’s attention recently.
Redditor Reveals Smart Hacks For Frequent Travel
I travel 100+ days a year for work. Here’s my tips.

This traveller, who spends more than 100 days a year flying for work, decided to share his list of tips that make constant travel a little easier. What made it special was that these weren’t random internet hacks; these were small, smart habits he had built over years of trial and error. And they really made sense.
One of his first rules was simple but powerful: leave early. As he explained, you can always kill time at the airport, but you can’t undo missing a flight because of traffic or a sudden detour. He even added that working in a quiet corner of the airport without stress is better than working at home while worrying about running late. Practical, right?
He also talked about carrying a spray hand sanitiser instead of a pump, because it works on everything. Then came the essentials: noise-cancelling headphones with an audio jack (since Bluetooth doesn’t always work on planes), a powerful battery pack that can charge laptops, and even a carabiner attached to his backpack to hang it in bathrooms or clip on extra bags.
There were smaller but equally clever hacks, too. He uses hotel hangers with clips to keep blackout curtains tightly shut, always requests the highest floor in hotels to avoid noise from kids running around, and carries basic medicines like Advil or Tylenol so he’s never left scrambling if he suddenly feels unwell. He even suggested collecting a few wrapped utensils and straws from fast-food joints for those moments when you grab food on the go but don’t get proper cutlery.

Handle Flights, Airports, And Hotel Stays Like A Pro
His post started a whole conversation in which other Redditors shared their own travel tips. One person claims that they always carry an eye mask, earplugs, and a small power cube that can charge multiple devices simultaneously. Another shared stories of fixing broken shoes in Thailand, fixing a leaking shower door in Italy, and repairing damaged luggage, all with duct tape. According to another, downloading hotel and airline apps in advance helps reduce time at the airport.
And then there were those who completely agreed with his “leave early” advice, calling it the most important tip of all. One Redditor even mentioned that they always carry a portable HDMI cable with them so they can connect to TVs without relying upon bad hotel WiFi.
The relatability of this post made it stand out. It was less about lavish vacations and more about little things that make travel less stressful.
