The United Arab Emirates is known for offering a good lifestyle for people living there. And according to the latest report by the Nomad Capitalist Lifestyle Index 2026, the UAE has performed amazingly once again. It has scored a third rank out of 63 nations on the basis of tax, residence, safety, nature, and quality of life.
UAE Ranks Third On Nomad Capitalist Lifestyle Index 2026
The United Arab Emirates has been ranked in third place in the world according to a new Nomad Capitalist Lifestyle Index. The ranking is out of 63 destinations. The rankings have been published by the consulting firm Nomad Capitalist, and it has given the United Arab Emirates a score of 73.15 out of 100. As it happens, the UAE holds the best tax score out of any other destination that has been assessed. In fact, it is the only Gulf state in the index.
What Are The Different Factors For The Rankings
For those who don’t know, this index scores every destination. This is done on the basis of five factors, each of which carries an equal weight. These include nature & climate, safety & freedom, tax, residence & access, and infrastructure & quality of life. Talking about the UAE, its scores across these factors were as follows:
- Nature and Climate 59.7
- Tax 96.0
- Residence and Access 78.7
- Safety and Freedom 58.8
- Quality of Life & Infrastructure 72.6

Where Do Other Countries Stand?
Coming to other names on the list, the first part was Monaco with a score of 73.89. It was followed by Andorra with 73.68. The top 10 destinations on the list are as follows:

- Andorra
- United Arab Emirates
- Malta
- Portugal
- Cyprus
- Singapore
- Cayman Islands
- New Zealand
- Switzerland
It should be noted that the UAE has done well on tax. It introduced 9% federal corporate tax in June 2023, but there is zero personal income tax and zero capital gains tax. In fact, it has also expanded its 10-year Golden Visa.
The authorities are actively taking steps to ensure that people can live a good life.
