Recently, the Dubai RTA welcomed students at Al Ghubaiba Marine Transport Station. Herein, they were briefed about the basic safety guidelines. These were pertaining to the guidelines before setting off on a unique maritime trip aboard the Dubai Ferry.
2. Ajman Launches ‘Turn Off The Engine’ Initiative
The city of Ajman has launched a new initiative called, ‘turn off the engine.’ Under this campaign, drivers are urged to stop the engines of their vehicles at the traffic signal. Moreover, the traffic signals across the city give enough time to the motorists to restart their vehicles, from when the lights turn red to green.
3. Tickets Are Now Available For Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2024
Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2024 has returned to the emirate today. And tickets for the matches have already gone live on Ticketmaster. As it happens the championship will go on till March 2, and only limited seats are available for many of the matches.

4. First License Issued For Construction Using 3D Printing Technology

The Planning and Development Department – Trakhees, which is the regulatory body of
Port Customs and Free Zone Corporation recently made major announcements. Yes, it issued the first license for construction using 3D printing technology. It should be noted that this license is for the construction of buildings in Dubai. As it happens, the license was given to Nakheel, for its Al Furjan Hills project in December 2023.
5. Green Turtle Nest Recorded In Abu Dhabi For The First Time

Recently, the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) recorded the first nest of green turtles. This was recorded at one of the core Hawksbill turtle nesting sites in the Al Dhafra Region. This is a big deal, as even though green turtles are found extensively in the waters of Abu Dhabi, this is the first time that nesting activity has taken place.
