Two teenagers, while attending a wedding in Uttar Pradesh, died after getting into a heated altercation about who should get the tandoori roti first. The two wedding guests, aged 17 and 18, were attending a wedding in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi on May 3 when the incident took place.
Two Dead After Fighting Over Tandoori Roti During A Wedding In UP
In an unfortunate incident, two teenagers lost their lives while fighting over tandoori roti during a wedding in a village in Uttar Pradesh. According to India Today, a fight broke out between 18-year-old Ravi Kumar and a 17-year-old minor. The two teenagers first got into a verbal spat, but it soon took a violent turn.
The heated argument escalated and the two started hitting each other with sticks. This caused severe injuries to both the parties. While the 17-year-old died on the spot, Ravi was rushed to a trauma centre for immediate medical assistance. However, he also succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
While talking to India Today, the father of the bride revealed that he and his family were busy with the wedding preparations when they first heard about the fight. They soon reached the spot and saw that the teenagers were already fighting and were severely injured. He shared he couldn’t believe it all happened because of a tandoori roti.

Legal Action To Be Taken After Further Investigation
Gairiganj Circle Chief Officer (CO) Akhilesh Varma shared that the local police had taken the body into their custody and sent it for postmortem. He did not reveal much about the altercation between the two UP teens over tandoori roti but said that any further legal action would be taken in accordance with the findings of the postmortem report.
