UAE: Amidst Soaring Travel Demand, Indian Visit Visa Holders Urged To Book The Return Ticket With Same Airline

Are you in the process of making plans to visit the UAE during the summer vacation? If your answer is yes, then you need to book the return ticket on the same airline. Yes, an advisory has therefore been issued insisting travellers book their onward and return journeys on the same flight in order to avoid any complications. Here is more about this travel-related development.

Indian visit visa holders flying to the UAE have been advised to book their onward and return journeys on the same airline. This advisory as reported by Khaleej Times, insists on the requirement, as some travellers were unable to fly to the UAE because they had booked return tickets on a different airline. A failure to comply with this requirement might result in the passengers being denied boarding.

In fact, several travel agents have confirmed this with the media outlet (in the same report) stating that some of their clients have previously been returned due to their return ticket being booked on another airline. In fact, many have even confirmed this by stating that they had seen advisories from some airlines that they wouldn’t be accepting travellers who had tickets with different airlines. These advisories, it’s worth noting, were received by travel agents with offices in India and not in the UAE.

As such, this development comes after strict checks have been introduced at airports in the UAE. Yes, some passengers had previously been asked to return, as they did not meet documents and other requirements. Not only this, it was previously reported in a different story that visit visa holders travelling to Dubai have been urged to carry AED3,000 cash, proof of accommodation, and a valid return ticket, before they go on a flight. Failing to comply with this resulted in passengers either being stopped at the Indian airport or being stranded at the Dubai Airport. The development comes in light of the fact that travel season is almost upon us. With more people travelling from India to the UAE in this coming summer season, flights are expected to run at full capacity and airfares have already shot up.

So, keeping the strict checks in mind, passengers have been advised to ensure that they have all the necessary documents before they intend to travel.
