And this is defined by the number of countries a passport holder is allowed to enter for free. So, defining and ranking the passports on the basis of their visa-free entries, the Henley Passport Index 2024 has been released and the UAE passport has ranked high at the 11th spot, globally.

The UAE passport has taken the top spot according to the Henley Passport Index 2024. Yes, now the nation is ranked at the 11th spot with visa-free entries to 183 countries according to the report. This is a major improvement for the nation as it has moved from its previous 15th rank with visa-free entry to 178 nations.

Other Middle Eastern Countries Have Also Done Well

As it happens, other Middle Eastern nations have also done fairly well. For instance, Qatar has come up on the 53rd rank with visa-free entry to 108 countries, Kuwait has come up on the 55th rank with visa-free entry to 102 countries, followed by Bahrain at 59 with a 91 visa-free score. In fact, Oman has come up on the 60th spot with a visa-free score of 90 and Saudi Arabia at 61 with 89, as the visa-free score.

What About The Best Performing & Worst Performing Passports?

  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Singapore
  • Spain

Coming to the worst performing nations, passports with the lowest score include –

  • Somalia at 99 with 36 as the visa-free score
  • Yemen at 100 with 35 as the visa-free score
  • Pakistan at 101 with 34 as the visa-free score
  • Iraq at 102 with 31 as the visa-free score
  • Syria at 103 with 29 as the visa-free score
  • Afghanistan at 104 with 28 as the visa-free score
