As the UAE has been reeling under high temperatures for the past few days, the bout of rain across the UAE has certainly been a blessing, since the temperatures have seen some respite. However, with the heavy rain reported along Dubai-Al Ain Road and in the Masakin area, it is now predicted that several parts of the UAE may get more showers in the coming days. As it happens, the UAE Met Department has predicted a drop in temperatures by 2 to 3°C. Here’s all about it.

Orange Alert for Some Areas In The UAE

Going by the National Centre of Meteorology forecast, Al Ain will be witnessing moderate to heavy rainfall in the coming days. In fact, Abu Dhabi might also experience some showers and temperatures across the UAE are expected to drop by 2 to 3°C. As reported by the Khaleej Times, it was revealed that this was due to low pressure from the East being extended towards the UAE, are expected to see concentrated rains and areas around the region will also be affected. This phenomenon is expected to continue till August 7. As it happens, sporadic showers are expected till August end with the humidity dropping to as low as 15% in the mountains. However, it can also hit 80% in coastal areas and islands!

This development comes at a time when an orange alert has been issued on Tuesday, August 6 for thunderstorms. In fact, the weather department sent out this alert early morning notifying the residents about the chances of rainfall due to the formation of convective clouds. As it happens, fresh winds have reached up to 40 km/h and may be blowing over some Eastern and Southern internal areas till 7 PM on Wednesday. The Storm Centre also took to its official account on X to show how heavy drizzle and light rains are hitting several parts of the UAE. As it happens, some wadis in the country are already overflowing due to rains.

So, with a partly cloudy and cloudy day for UAE residents and chances of rain in some Eastern and Southern areas, it is expected that such conditions may carry forward to some more days. And so, it is bound to make the weather pleasant for people in the country.
