UAE has announced private sector holidays for the Islamic New Year 2018.

What Is It?

Private sectors will also observe the Hijri New Year or the Islamic New Year holiday on Thursday, 13 September, according to an announcement made by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. This means that the public and private sectors will both enjoy a long weekend together and work will resume on Sunday, 16 September 2018. The decision was taken as per the guidance of the council of ministers. Time to make plans for the long weekend!
